This year we fielded a strong team including Callum Taylor who is a local
member of burnham off a 1 handicap.
We played the buckthorns in the first round and won 3-0. The second round we lost 2-1 to Lloyds TSB who had a good side after beating the Navy in the morning.
It was a tough draw playing the army but the team gave them a good go.
Myself and Pykey played two +3 golfers which is crazy like me playing two 13 handicappers! We were 7 down through 8 but managed to save humiliation and eventually lost 6 & 5!
Pete and Jenks did very well to take their match down the last after being one up through 14 it was a great effort. Good to see Jenks get back to somewhere like we know he can!
Willacy had 15 clubs in his bag. Yes 15! The army spotted it like they would do I guess and suddenly from being all square they were 2 down. But they did well to come back and win 1 up which is lucky for Richard as otherwise he would never have heard the end of it.
