{"id":314,"date":"2017-05-30T09:09:29","date_gmt":"2017-05-30T09:09:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oldtauntoniangs.org\/golf\/?p=314"},"modified":"2017-05-30T09:10:57","modified_gmt":"2017-05-30T09:10:57","slug":"halford-hewitt-2017","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oldtauntoniangs.org\/golf\/halford-hewitt-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Halford Hewitt &#8211; 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What another fantastic week weather wise!<\/p>\n<p>Some of us turned up for the Tuesday practice at Deal and rest followed Wednesday. \u00a0 No rounds these days are easy and our opening match was against Dulwich. \u00a0Unfortunately, we had a late tee off time of 14:10, which meant a lot of hanging around itching to get going. \u00a0Alas we lost 5-0, which once again doesn&#8217;t tell the whole story. \u00a0Hector &amp; Stickler lost on the 19th, Pyke &amp; Greg W lost on the 17th and Blood &amp; Jenks lost on the 18th. \u00a0So a good effort.<\/p>\n<p>The Plate, down to six players, first round Friday morning against Glenalmond. \u00a0Taunton win 3-0. \u00a0Second round Saturday morning against Uppingham we lost 2-1.<\/p>\n<p>Team this year for the main competition was unchanged:<br \/>\nR Willacy &amp; I Westwater<br \/>\nG Hector &amp; P Stickler<br \/>\nG Whalley &amp; M Pyke<br \/>\nP Whalley &amp; D Higginson<br \/>\nT Blood &amp; M Jenkins<\/p>\n<p>Plate team was:<br \/>\nR Willacy &amp; I Westwater<br \/>\nG Whalley &amp; P Whalley<br \/>\nG Hector &amp; P Stickler<\/p>\n<p>Thanks again to all. \u00a0Another fantastic week and already looking forward to 2018!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What another fantastic week weather wise!
